About the Role

The tax manager will lead ia centralized function unit for Gojek based in Jakarta that handle any tax related to compliance, day to day operation with some automation and audit process.

What You Will Do

Direct a variety of tax-related activities in accordance with the overall tax strategy to ensure that the organization meets its tax obligations and objectives. These activities may include tax planning; research; compliance; tax submissions, reporting, and filings; auditing; and communicating with external tax agencies.
Help to manage tax audit process and timely engage relevant stakeholders including consultants to support the process including data collection and timely escalation of issues to relevant stakeholders
Select and manage ongoing relationships with, external consultants and advisers (for example tax advisers) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
Evaluate the organization's current or proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions to ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations (including SoX)Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for corporate estimate liabilities.
Evaluate and advise on the automation of the tax payment, reporting, and reconciliation process
Ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time for the group

What You Will Need

5+ years of experience in similar, having a tax consultant background will be the best additional
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Bahasa and English).
Problem-solving and had the ability to lead project or process improvement
A team player that is used to operating cross-functionally and cross-jurisdiction/culture.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and high-growth organization and open to challenging projects outside areas of experience or comfort zone and scope.
