About the Role

They say no man is an island, and this holds true here at Gojek. As our Commercial Accounting Assistant Manager, you’ll be part of the Accounting team that directly impacts Gojek’s financial reporting process. Your main objective will be to lead the development and improvement of the accounting process. The commercial accounting and reconciliation team will be your companions during this ride. Best yet, you’ll have the opportunity to flex your project management and analytical skills, getting us even closer to our ultimate goal of achieving an efficient and accurate accounting process.

What You Will Do

You will support our accounting reporting process from daily operations to reconciliation and financial statements
Apart from daily BAUs, you will be involved in think-thank of Adhoc projects including but not limited to automation and process improvement
Your analytical thinking and audit knowledge will help you how to run bookkeeping records to comply with global accounting standards
Your high curiosity and attention to detail is an excellent point to improve our accounting process more effective and efficient
Through creativity you will get exposure to working with stakeholders both internal and external, to ensure our financial reports are aligned with compliance and regulation

What You Will Need

At least 4 years of experience in external audit from Big 4 accounting firm
Familiarity with financial accounts and type of accounting reports, compliance, and standards is mandatory and knowledge of IFRS/PSAK is a plus
Possess solid analytical skills, process improvement mindset, high attention to detail, and project management skills
Strong ability to recognize financial report needs and effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders within the Finance Accounting & Tax, Product, and externals
Experimenting in managing multiple reports and well-time management in needs of monthly closing, report submission, and deadlines

About the Team

Our accounting team, a subsidiary of the Finance, Accounting, and Tax (FAT) team, consists of 11 people based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Working alongside the treasury, tax and reconciliation teams, we are mutually concerned with effective accounting processes and accurate financial reporting. The gist of our role is to oversee the overall Gopay transactions within Gojek, including general and commercial transactions. For instance, should you have a question about how to identify and resolve any accounting-related issues, we are your people! Currently, our team has been busy working on finance reconciliation and automation, which will help Gojek in establishing more effective and accurate financial results.
