We are looking for a Supervisor Restaurant to ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently.
Supervisor Restaurant responsibilities include ordering kitchen utensils and equipment based on our needs, managing contracts and payroll and supervising restaurant staff performance. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes a great customer service. You should also be available to work within opening hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service is provided to guests at all times.
- Lead, train, and coach a team of restaurant staff, promoting a culture of high-standards and exceptional service.
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the menu offerings, ensuring that food and beverage items are of the highest quality.
- Manage inventory levels, food and beverage cost controls, and waste management measures to ensure maximum profitability.
- Ensure that food hygiene and sanitation standards are adhered to and maintained at all times.
- Liaise with the culinary team to ensure a smooth flow of operations between the kitchen and restaurant.
- Manage customer complaints and concerns, seeking to resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Proven experience as a restaurant supervisor or similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with an ability to motivate teams to achieve high levels of performance.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to engage with guests and colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A working knowledge of food and beverage cost controls, inventory management, and waste management best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Minimum education requirement - high school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in hospitality or a related field are a plus.
