How did it all start?

Founded on March 15, 1991, in Surabaya as PT Anglomas International Bank (Amin Bank), the
bank was acquired by Tolaram Group and transformed to PT Bank Amar Indonesia (Amar Bank)
in 2014. It has then undergone a significant digital transformation to become one of the
country's forerunning fintech institutions through its award-winning digital lending platform,
Tunaiku.

About the position:

  • The Recruitment Team Lead is responsible for end-to-end talent acquisition across Technology, Business, and Operations functions within an Indonesian banking environment. This role combines strategic workforce planning, hands-on recruitment execution, strong stakeholder management, and continuous improvement of hiring processes, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance requirements. The role leads a recruitment team, acts as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, and ensures high-quality hiring outcomes with a strong focus on ownership, candidate experience, and employer branding. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end recruitment for Technology, Business, and Operations roles.
  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle: workforce planning, job scoping, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding handover.
  • Operate and own Lever ATS as the single source of truth for all hiring activities, ensuring data accuracy, reporting readiness, and process discipline.
  • Partner closely with business leaders and hiring managers to understand talent needs, priorities, and timelines, and provide recruitment market insights.
  • Maintain a strong ownership mindset over hiring outcomes, timelines, and candidate experience.
  • Ensure a consistent, professional, and positive candidate experience across all touchpoints.
  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with Indonesian banking regulations, internal policies, audit standards, and documentation requirements (including OJK and internal audit needs).
  • Prepare and support regulatory, audit, and management reporting related to hiring activities (e.g., headcount planning, hiring justification, approvals).
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes through innovation, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Utilize and manage assessment tools, including psychological testing, in line with banking recruitment standards.
  • Plan and execute recruitment events such as job fairs, campus hiring, and employer branding initiatives to strengthen the bank’s talent pipeline.
  • Lead, coach, and develop recruiters, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

Requirements:

  • 6-10+ years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with at least 2-3 years in a team lead or managerial role.
  • Proven experience hiring across Technology, Business, and Operations functions.
  • Prior experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
  • Strong hands-on experience operating Lever ATS.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end recruitment operations, hiring metrics, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, audit, and governance requirements related to recruitment in Indonesian banking.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and process-driven, while remaining pragmatic and execution-focused.

Bonus point if:

  • Experience leading or scaling recruitment teams in a growing or transforming organization.
  • Exposure to recruitment process automation, analytics, or digital hiring initiatives.
  • Experience running large-scale hiring programs (e.g., mass hiring, graduate programs, campus recruitment).
  • Strong employer branding experience and external representation of the organization at talent events.
