This position sits in our Payments team, a fast-growing part of our organization which offers businesses a suite of payments and collections products in one easy-to-use digital platform. Reporting to the Team Lead of Payments Operations, you will be part of the dynamic team that span across the region. The team executes day to day payment processes, which includes reconciliation, payouts and refunds, whilst delivering the best possible user experience.
What will you do :
- Oversee and own the day-to-day operations to ensure reconciliation of payments, payouts and refunds is done on time and 100% accurate.
- Lead monthly financial and regulatory reporting for our payment partners and regulatory bodies.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with our third-party operational partners (banks, network partners, payment processors and other fintech).
- Create monthly analytical reports and insights on the company’s financial operations to guide strategy on margin improvements and pricing.
- Work cross functionally with different internal Teams to suggest product design or process enhancements that will streamline and improve operations, to ensure adherence to our risk management framework and to deliver an exceptional user experience on CardUp.
- Setup the company for future success by constantly questioning the status quo and highlighting operational inefficiencies that affect the scalability of the business. Think out, suggest and follow through on process improvements, and lead all operational efforts.
- Be the champion for operational procedures across the payments organisation.
- Assist with internal and external audits, liaising with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company operations is maintained.
- Bachelor’s degree holder in Business, Finance or related disciplines
- Minimum 6 years of experience in an operations role within the payments or fintech industry.
- Proven track record running operations teams at scale across multiple markets in a regulated financial institution or fintech.
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset with drive and initiative to solve problems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage time, priorities and complete tasks with tight deadlines.
- Flexible and able to multi-task in fast-moving and sometime ambiguous environment, driving toward clarity and solutions.
- Sound judgment and strong sense of ethics.
- Excellent communication skills and personal qualities of integrity, credibility and quality.
- Strong command of the English Language (written and verbal).
