As sales project manager, responsibilities include crafting new sales strategies and promotions, and understanding the commercial and operational requirements for these initiatives to work. according to the strategies discussed with your manager. The directions of these responsibilities are to be in line with the objectives of your manager, and the head of sales, together with the overall goals for the department. Additionally, communications of these initiatives are to be done by the sales project manager, together with the other sales managers.
Responsibilities
- Doing market research on competitors, and having close communications to the other commercial teams, to understand which sales strategies will work, where it will work, and how to implement these initiatives
- Understanding the commercial and operational impact of sales promotions, in line with seasonal peaks and troughs
- Building forecasts, in line with sales promotions and any other impact to business performance
- Working together with the commercial team to implement any new sales initiatives, and working to build the dashboards to track progress of these initiatives
- Working closely with the operational team to roll out new initiatives, according to territory
- Standardising reporting of sales promotion results, and other such metrics to track performance of sales initiatives
- Building cost benefit analyses to justify the sales promotions
Requirements
· Ability to multitask and manage more than one deliverable at a time
· Finish deliverables in timely manner, in line with expectation of your direct manager
· Eager to expand the company with new sales strategies, and initiatives
· Ability to communicate effectively within the team, and with external stakeholders, in driving for results and receiving deliverables
· Ability to identify opportunities in the market, from a localised and macro perspective
· Professional fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin will be an advantage)
· Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel. SQL is an advantage
· Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree of any field, with a firm grasp of sales and
· At least 5 years of working experience in logistics, sales or e-commerce industry is preferred for this position
