About the Role 

As the Copywriter for Creative Labs, you’ll take the wheel to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. And you will execute creative copywriting for any campaign executing creative campaigns for Gojek’s vast array of products. Reporting to the Group Head of the Creative stream, You’ll get your hands dirty in executing marketing creatives, marrying insights from user behaviors and trends, and relatable content. However, showing the ability to identify and check in with the managers on the viability of approach options.


What You Will Do

  • Articulate the creative team’s concept into a copy and content form. Simplify very complex messages with simple copywriting
  • Always aim for readability and clear delivery of the idea and message
  • Collaborate with the team to understand what they want out of a project, and help them get those ideas out in a workable way
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and execute marketing creatives
  • Work hand in hand with Art Director and Graphic Designers

What You Will Need

  • At least 4 years of work experience in creative fields especially copywriting and content writing
  • Ability to work on multiple projects that necessitate different writing styles, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to understand briefs and translate them with the expected output 
  • Experience to think of new approaches to communicating ideas to consumers. They develop unique copywriting that conveys a recognizable meaning
  • Interest in any specific area such as typography, photography, and layout compositions is a must
  • A creative design-thinking and problem-solving mindset that can work in increments and exponents
  • Strong team player; possesses team synergy skills with a high level of enthusiasm in collaborating in a cross-functional team; ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution
  • Open to new challenges and upcoming trends and are excited to explore them
About the Team

What are Creative Labs? A bunch of creative geeks? A cult of mad scientists? The truth is… we’re a combination of both! As part of the Gojek Marketing Team, we’re made up of Project Managers, Accountants, Strategists, Copywriters, Graphic Designers, Art directors, and Social Media Creatives who work together to turn business objectives into creative outputs. Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, our main focus is to create the right communication - copy, visuals, medium included - to heighten user acquisition.

We want to convey to as many people as possible the value of Gojek’s products in solving everyday problems - from food, and transport, to payments - and easing our daily routines. We prioritize an in-depth understanding of our target audience, and craft all of our creative campaigns based on these findings. Some of these past campaigns include Foodiskon, Ramadan, “It’s OK To Be Lebay”, and J3K. Currently, our team has been working on a lot of innovation and promotional campaigns, which will help Gojek maintain its leadership in the market. 

Unsurprisingly, our creative family comprises music enthusiasts, coffee connoisseurs, and movie buffs. Regardless of whether we’re working from home or the office, one of our favorite aspects of being a part of the Creative Labs fam is that we get to dress however we want!
