The Job: 

Sales Engineers are expected to provide technical leadership both within and outside of the company.  Internally, Sales Engineers’ should contribute to Horangi's Warden product, the development of new cloud products and provide product feedback.  Externally, Sales Engineers seek to understand client's challenges and improve their overall cybersecurity posture by identifying Horangi's portfolio of products and services that will suit their needs. The role will be responsible for all pre-sales related activities, ranging from performing technical product demos, to coming up with technical responses to formal client submissions together with business. This role will also be responsible for giving ad-hoc cloud security advisory to our customers across cloud services using our product Warden as well as other security tools.  Horangi Warden and our customers' success is your success. This role reports to the Principal Cloud Security Engineer under the Revenue team. 

Responsibilities

  • Technical pre-sales consultancy to create engagement responses with Warden.
  • Handle Warden onboarding and technical implementation.
  • Support standardisation and continuous improvements to existing internal processes and develop new ones.
  • Supporting the sales team in client facing engagements, working to understand their business needs and provide security solutions which assist organizations in improving their cloud security with Warden or managed services.
  • Supporting the Warden sales and partner team in account planning and opportunity development activities.
  • Quality assurance of client-facing documents, including both proposals, methodology literature and reports, to ensure the solution proposed by Horangi meets the client’s requirements. 
  • Develop opportunities to sell cloud managed services to the customer base through packaged Warden offerings.
  • A rough time split for this role would be as follows.
  • 80% on pre-sales activities helping the team to sell Warden and enable our partners.
  • 20% on helping our customers use Warden, assisting with customer onboarding, supporting engineering with implementing customer feedback and new ideas.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to explain technical content to a non-technical audience across multiple levels of seniority from technical teams to C-suite
  • Proven ability to manage client interactions and manage expectations
  • Demonstrable problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong command of Bahasa and English (Role is required to support english-speaking regions outside of Indonesia)
  • Strong document-writing skillsGood understanding of cyber security threats, threat actors, tradecraft and mitigation techniques is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge in cloud security and the implementation of it.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience working with any of the public cloud service provider (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure or Alicloud) and general cybersecurity
