About the Role
In this role, you’ll take the wheel in driving the GoFood merchant partner's onboarding and content management product vision and strategy, and build our products to scale. You’ll spend your time translating analytical and research insights into tactical solutions, articulating the needs of our merchant-partners to our internal teams, and shipping product features that enhance merchant partners' experiences in the field.
To succeed in this role, you must be a thought pioneer, a driver, and help shape the overall direction as well as key deliverables. You would ensure that product judgments are based on strong, sound rigor and in-depth investigation and value data over opinions. You need to be a great storyteller, able to build a strong product narrative that clearly articulates the motivation for the project, goals, and path to success. You will need to have exceptional communication skills as this role requires you to collaborate with, manage expectations of, and align stakeholders across functions.
What You Will Do
- Formulate the long-term product strategy, half-yearly OKRs, and strategic initiatives to ensure delivery of key business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a product roadmap. Ship impactful features that help us scale content management and delight our merchants.
- Capture insights from stakeholders and merchant feedback, experiments, research, and data analysis to identify trends and pinpoint the drivers behind them; Translate these insights into tactical solutions to improve the product.
- Define clear and well-scoped requirements documents that are easily understood by technical and non-technical audiences.
- Be a merchant advocate. Articulate their needs and deliver user-friendly solutions to solve their problems.
- Influence peers, stakeholders, and key executives through the use of data and logic.
What You Will Need
- At least 3+ years of experience working as a product manager.
- An entrepreneurial, customer-obsessed mindset and the comfort of working in a complex and fast-paced environment are required.
- An analytical and data-driven mindset; a love for digging into data to understand what’s happening and to define and measure success on every project.
- Learn quickly, feel comfortable teaching yourself new skills, and thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English and a confident communicator. Being empathetic to customers and colleagues
- A passion for your users (In this stream, your stakeholders will be both internal and merchant-facing.)
- A nuanced understanding of data, design, and research, software engineering, and business processes, and the ability to partner effectively with those teams
About the Team
The GoFood Merchant Partner team is a family of around 25+ people based across Jakarta and India and consists of various roles ranging from products, engineering, design, research, operations, go-to-market, business, and strategy roles. Our team oversees GoFood’s Merchant Partner experience and enables merchants across the llifecycle:-onboarding, menu management, order processing, growth, and retention. We frequently collaborate with the Logistics, Growth & Monetization, and Merchant Platform teams to create the most effective and delightful experiences for merchants.
Some of the questions we tackle daily include: “How do we enable merchants to manage their price and menu updates quickly and efficiently for multiple outlets?”, “How do we enable merchants to process the incoming orders efficiently?”, “How do we ensure merchants have the food ready to be picked up when the driver arrives?” and “How do we enable and incentivize merchants to grow and improve their performance?”
With WFH becoming more normalized, we've been sharing our favorite ways to stay sane at home. Along with a common drive to use technology to better our community, given the nature of our department, our team bonds over our shared love for good food, easy home-cooking recipes, and the best spots to eat in town.
