About the Role
As a Manager of Public Policy and Government Relations in the Data and Tech team, you will lead the engagement with strategic stakeholders in the Government and the parliament to build relationships and support Public Policy initiatives. The role requires you to develop engagement strategies on a wide range of technology and digital economy issues, and lead their implementation. To this end, you will have to work with various Government agencies, non-profit groups, and other institutions while coordinating with internal business teams to ensure alignment. Through relationship building, collaboration and discussions, you will drive greater public policy awareness among Gojek’s important stakeholders.
What Will You Do
- Proactively build and establish relationships with government officials, non profit groups and other institutions in Indonesia and SEA level
- Work with multiple stakeholders to shape a strategic and actionable public policy plan
- Leading multiple projects with government institutions in relation to Data, Tech and Intellectual Property, including but not limited to Digital Economy issues
- Closely coordinate with internal teams across GoTo’s group of companies
- Develop relationships with government and non-government stakeholders, civil society, thought leaders, industry associations and think tanks, and tap into this network to build alliances across relevant policy agendas
- Manage public policy projects involving cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
What Will You Need
- Bachelor degree from a reputable university, ideally in law, with a master’s degree a plus;
- At Least 5-7 years of working experience at managerial level in public policy and government relations or in law firms, think thanks or civil society organizations
- Solid network across government stakeholders relevant to the work experience with demonstrated ability to shape decisions or impact policies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills and ability to manage projects independently

Our Public Policy and Government Relations Team consists of over 30 people, focusing in PPGR on different streams, such as Financial Services, Corporate Activity, Information and communications technology, and others. As Nasi Goreng is to the people of Indonesia, we are to Gojek: providing the nourishment to sustain our business from the inside out. Our main responsibility is to establish partnership and develop solutions to opportunities, as well as regulatory challenges in domains that impact Gojek's business. For instance, we also provide strategic advice and guidance to Tech, Product, and Business organizations as well as key executives in the execution of Gojek's business goals.
