About the Role

This Role is part of the Merchant Core team - who is responsible to be the advocate of merchants and be the business counterpart for the Platform PDG team (in charge of business, strategy, and planning of Merchant platform as well as be the proxy of Sales, Ops, Marketing, and other non PDG functions in GoJek for Merchant Platform PDG to design platform products, determine platform roadmap as well as in charge for features rollout)

Specifically for Merchant Core Centralized Merchant Platform stream, the merchant core team together with his/her PDG counterparts should make sure these problem areas are solved for partners and merchants through technology-based-solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Eliminate the inefficiencies and unreliability in financial operations related to merchant transactions
  • Provide a reliable, accurate and consistent payout system with the transparent of money movement from the merchant transaction
  • Drive liquidity of the merchant wallet (increasing the available balance of the merchant)
  • Help merchants to grow the business through business insight and analytics

What You Will Need

  • At least 5 years of working experience
  • Business and strategic planning capability
  • Ability to build executable plans, with an effective execution framework using limited tools/resources at hand given that the scope is an incubation business
  • Experiences in business incubation at startups, formulation business ideas into pilot executions are preferred
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skill, have a good balance of strategic thinking <> tactical execution strategy <> execution itself
  • Exceptional ability to build an-easy-to-understand dashboard for decision making, execution progress tracker as well as extracting insights from data
  • Good project management skill and ability to work through other people using impact and influence approach instead of direct authority instruction approach
  • Exceptional people management skill as well as stakeholder management
  • Ability to understand how technology products works, link it to overall business strategy and resulting in product/business improvement / new ideas
About the Team

Our Merchant Centralized Partner Platform is a small family of 10 people spread out across Jakarta and Yogyakarta. As one of the key stakeholders in the Gojek ecosystem, our merchant-partners are involved in various offerings, such as food delivery, offline payment acceptance, POS, financial services, deals, and promotions. We run various integrations with strategic partners and strive to add value for our merchant-partners in everything we do. It's our job to take care of all things to do with partnerships and integrations within the merchant domain for our region, and work to ensure they're all running seamlessly and optimally. Most recently, our team managed to expand our scope to include running integrations for a new vertical within the company. Right now, the big question we’re trying to solve is: how can we drive the adoption rates for our partners who've already been onboarded?

While our team is based all over the region, we are a tight-knit group who are bonded by two things: our genuine desire to add value to the lives of our merchant-partners, and the vision to become the preferred partner amongst all merchants in our area. Our team enjoys what we do since we get to see the impact of our work reflected in our merchant-partners' everyday lives and business processes.
