VP of Government Affairs
Xendit provides payment infrastructure across Southeast Asia, with a focus on Indonesia and the Philippines. We process payments, power marketplaces, disburse payroll and loans, provide KYC solutions, prevent fraud, and help businesses grow exponentially. The Role
Reporting to our General Manager, you would be responsible to develop and maintain effective relationships with all regulatory stakeholders that include government bodies as well as various SRO and organizations.
Outcomes
- Prepare regulatory strategies and relevant external engagements that reflect Xendit Group’s current and future plans
- Understand our tech and what we are trying to solve with our product
- Understand insight on regulations, policies and licenses that will impact our business
- Present findings and advise next steps
- Create action plans and assist with the execution
- Being representative at industry and dealing with - OJK - BI - Aftech related forums and events
- Get Xendit a seat to the policy table
- Advantage of building strategies through insight from industry collaborations
- Develop relationships with various public officials and regulatory stakeholders
- Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed
What we’re looking for
Behaviors
- You are humble yet have great interpersonal skills to be able to communicate well with the regulators
- Have a great attention to details, especially with deciphering complex regulations
- You thrive on autonomy and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself
Experience
- Well experienced on permitting, licensing and approval process, having experience with senior member of OJK, BI, AFPI and other institution is preferred
- You have a background in bank or non-bank financial institution for 5 - 10 years of experience
- In your previous role you’ve dealt with various ranks of regulators and government officers
- You are able to mentor and grow the individuals within your team to be Xendit’s next generation of leaders
- Effectively managed multiple priorities while maintaining a high quality of work
- Bonus points if you’ve worked for a high growth startup before, you have experiences dealing with banking and financial regulators
Relevant Skills
- Are a creative hustler - you might not have done it before, but you're willing to try something different to get it done
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills both in Bahasa Indonesia and in English
- Are an exceptional communicator and work well with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate ability to finish tasks and make reports quickly
