Job Title: Video Editor 

LOCATION: Jakarta, Indonesia 

 

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE:

OLIVER Group is looking for a Video Editor to work across a new scope which focuses on AV post-production for a renowned content provider brand.

Based in Indonesia, this highly motivated individual will have proven track record in dealing with a range of clients and post-production streams. The role requires a deep understanding across moving image and movie titles. Have the ability to work across multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment. A professional attitude, creative flair and an unwavering commitment to quality are highly desirable. We require someone who can hit the ground running and bring their experience to the table in a rapidly evolving fast paced set-up.

This position would suit someone with a strong background in Content editing and local adaptation across content titles for different markets. The role will involve taking global master assets then branding and localising the assets for multiple markets. Dedicating equal attention to global brand guidelines and unique cultural nuances.

Post-production house AV and post production experience and familiarity with offline editing, online post editing and process will be looked upon favourably.

 

WHAT YOU WILL YOU BE DOING: 

  • Managing digital and motion projects from initial brief cassation to final delivery. Stages include master trailer and clips receipt across a range of deliverables from movie trailers, clips, adaptation and then proceed to localisation editing.
  • Liaising with producer and key art designer to ensure the delivery of assets, production masters and project files.
  • Ensuring QC on final edits to as precise as possible.
  • Ensuring all necessary tools such as playbooks and brand regional and global guidelines documents and fact sheets are continuously built upon and adhered to plus ensuring the QC in within the content of assets and materials are managed to the best needing a keen eye for detail.
  • Manage editing timelines with perfect submission ratings for on time delivery.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our client’s businesses and their communication objectives.
  • Work closely with teams to push production boundaries with creative excellence, enhance our reputation and contribute to the development of long-lasting client relationships.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings and briefings where needed.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE: 

  • Be able to handle editing multiple projects and assets at any given moment often under aggressive timings.
  • Think creatively around how content and key art can be localised to local markets and how it can be compelling to a local audience.
  • Have a sound working knowledge of all the various roles, functions, capabilities, equipment, and applications across multiple post-production streams and disciplines.
  • Stay abreast of industry / creative developments in the production of content and ensure this knowledge is cascaded to teams.
  • Be sociable, positive, resourceful and commercially-minded.
  • Have great interpersonal and justification skills.
  • Be proactive, self-motivated and enjoy working as part of team.
  • Be organised and methodical in their approach to work.
  • Motivate and lead team with enthusiasm.
  • Respond pro-actively to stress, remaining calm and personable even under pressure and when working to tight deadlines.
  • Delegate responsibility effectively and know when to manage ‘up’ as well as ‘across’ and ‘down’.
  • Be calm, consistent, confident and courageous.
  • Have technical competence and understanding of Adobe suite functions with expertise in optimal editing experience using Adobe Premier.
