The Translations Manager will lead the translations function working closely with our Head Office, assisting SiteMinder through a time of rapid growth and exciting transition - not just for APAC, but globally too.
This role will be responsible for the development, productivity and output of the highest standards of this dynamic department. From tools and translation memories, to external vendors, internal process optimisation and people development, the role will own and guide the team and function into a new phase at SiteMinder.
From a marketing standpoint, we execute brilliant brand awareness and lead generation campaigns using email, third party advertising, public relations, content marketing and customer upgrades.

What you would do as a Translations Manager:
- Build, onboard and maintain a network of named and approved freelance translators/reviewers to support the internal team as back-up team during holiday and capacity management
- Review existing localisation processes across the company. Analyse processes in order to develop a best practice strategy, and support and advise internal requestor teams (marketing, product and development, services etc).
- Manage team capacity, workload, project assignment, timelines, file preparation, glossary, translation memory tool and vendors
- Ensure the provision of service suppliers is cost-effective and that quality standards are defined, established, maintained and lead a culture of continuous improvement and quality monitoring.
- Work closely with the field marketing team, the in-house creative studio and web team, who use the language content to create our language assets.
- Work with key marketing and brand leaders to develop a long term language strategy that drives our business growth forward.
What do we look for:
- Fluency in English
- Experience working with onboarding external vendors and freelance translators/reviewers
- Bonus points if you have experience either leading a productive in-house translation team, or in a senior position leading a team at an agency
- Bonus points if you have experience with Asana and/or Smartling/ Trados or similar translation software
- Strong organisational, project management and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated high standards regarding translation quality and attention to detail
- Exceptional people and stakeholder management skills
