The New Business Units (NBU) division comprises some of the most exciting and enterprising teams at Ninja Van. Building on Ninja Van’s existing capabilities, we experiment with new ideas to develop innovative products and services that enhance our core business and help us serve our clients, partners and end-customers better.Housed within the NBU division, the Financing business unit is a new vertical that supports Ninja Van’s ecosystem partners with micro-financing and cross-border payment solutions. We are looking for a Trade Financing Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our trade financing product in Malaysia
Job Descriptions:
- Drive strategic development of Trade Financing product in Malaysia
- Collaborate effectively with Commercial Team in Vietnam to drive financing product adoption and retention
- Work closely with Credit and Operations functions to ensure smooth end-to-end execution and effective risk management
- Identify and implement new partnerships to enhance underwriting and origination capabilities in Malaysia
- Develop a solid understanding of Ninja Direct business (e.g. merchant profiles / inventory order cycles)
- Ensure continued strong commercial performance of Trade Financing product in Malaysia
- Launch co-underwriting & origination partnerships
- Work with Credit and Operations functions to ensure robust frameworks are in place that allows for smooth execution of all Trade Financing processes as well as effective risk management.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Accounting / Finance / Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Business / Product Development roles within a financial institution
- Familiarity with commercial lending (especially Trade Finance) products highly advantageous
- High level of resourcefulness and adaptability
- Collaborative and team-centric approach to problem-solving
- Solid analytical thinking, with a structured and data driven decision making process
- Strong focus on execution with an ability to stay nimble to execute under tight deadlines
- Able to work independently and with high attention to detail
