The role
As a Supply Chain Executive, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution and timeline management of returns inbound operations across all 3PL warehouses. While the role is hybrid in Indonesia, the scope is regional, covering returns inbound flows into multiple 3PL facilities and not limited to Indonesia alone.
Beyond returns operations, you will also support inventory management activities, including reconciliation and investigation of inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate stock visibility across distribution centers, ERP systems, and online platforms.
While return operations will be your core responsibility, you will also provide operational support for outbound and inbound operations when required, especially during peak periods or operational escalations.
You will help manage day-to-day DC operations by working closely with last mile operators and 3PL partners, following up on returns processing, ensuring customer satisfaction, troubleshooting inventory discrepancies, and maintaining accurate inventory records to support smooth warehouse operations across the region.
Main responsibilities :
Returns Processing Logistics & Inventory Management
- Manage the end-to-end execution of returns inbound operations across multiple 3PL distribution centers
- Coordinate the flow of returned inventory from both e-commerce and retail channels into the warehouse network
- Ensure returned inventory is received, inspected, processed, and made available in the system within defined turnaround times
- Work closely with DC teams to prioritize returns receiving and putaway based on operational priorities and inventory needs
- Ensure inbounded quantities are accurately reflected in WMS and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) upon receipt
- Investigate and resolve inbound discrepancies including shortages, overages, mis-receipts, or system mismatches
- Support inventory reconciliation activities related to returns inbounding.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on returns status, delays, and risks to inventory availability
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring operational or inventory issues and work with 3PL partners and internal teams to implement corrective actions
Operational Improvements & Key Initiatives
- Identify and drive process improvements or key initiatives to enhance returns processing efficiency, inventory visibility, and operational accuracy across the warehouse network
- Support the implementation of new operational workflows, system enhancements, or automation initiatives to strengthen reverse logistics capabilities
3PL Operations & Performance Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for 3PL partners on reverse logistics operations, with working knowledge of inbound and outbound warehouse processes
- Monitor and track operational KPIs and SLAs for returns inbounding, ensuring timely processing and adherence to agreed service levels
- Identify recurring execution issues and work with 3PL partners to drive corrective actions
- Conduct root cause analysis for delays or performance issues and drive corrective actions with 3PLs
- Work closely with 3PL partners to continuously improve operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and returns processing performance
Outbound, Inbound and Inventory Support (As Needed)
- Provide operational support for outbound fulfilment and inbound processing during peak periods or issue escalation
- Support DC teams in resolving outbound delays, inbound backlogs, or exception cases
- Assist in root-cause analysis for outbound or inbound-related issues that may impact customer experience
On-Site DC Engagement
- Conduct regular visits to the Indonesia DC to review inbound, outbound, and returns operations validating processes and SLAs
- Build strong working relationships with warehouse teams through presence, follow-up, and accountability
- Support on-site execution during critical launch periods or operational escalations
- Support issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- 1 year experience in engineering or supply chain field preferred (fresh graduates are welcome!)
- Hands-on experience in supply chain or DC operations, especially 3PL environments
- Strong understanding of inbound operations, with exposure to outbound fulfilment and returns processes
- Experience managing execution across multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with ERP and WMS systems in an omni-channel or e-commerce environment
- Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (mandatory); SQL is a plus
