Set-up and Manage Continuous Improvement Plan:
- Identify the potential continuous improvement projects: analyze the customer complaints and the answers given by the 3PL and validate them
- Perform root causes analysis for the KPIs where the targeted service levels are not achieved
- Perform root causes analysis for the non-conformities captured by the 4PL Hub
- Manage the Continuous Improvement Actions
- Manage the Continuous Improvement Customer Review as per Contract Governance
Set-up and Manage Design & Re-Engineering Savings Plan:
- Study and fully acknowledge the contract (Savings), Process, SOP, Operating Guide, Communication Matrix, Escalation Channel, KPI, SLA.
- Analyze the flows and processes: pre-carriage, main transport, post-carriage, warehousing, customs
- Identify potential savings in terms of processes, IT, organization and network design
- Manage the Savings Plan (calculation, follow-up, target)
- Manage the savings during the Customer and 3PL Operational Reviews as per Contract Governance
In liaise with 4PL Regional Contract Manager and the Global Supply-Chain Engineer:
- Review Regional Design & Re-Engineering Plan (Savings, Continuous Improvement, Productivity, …)
In liaise with Regional Management (Contract Manager and/or Operations manager):
- Ensure to receive reports and KPIs • Analyze data
- Identity action for continuous improvement
- Manage action plan
- Support in delivering SLA during continuous improvement review
Specific Activities
- Carrying out any other request made by their manager.
For this position, the successful candidate should have a good transport & logistics background
- Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (green belt is appreciated) and Continuous improvement methods
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good knowledge in Data Analysis
- Good in leading meetings (Internal, 3PL, Customer)
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Service minded personality and customer facing experience
- Well-organized & structured mindset
- Ability to work under pressure in a matrix organization
- Good in projet management
- Solid working knowledge of standard computer applications including MS Office (especially Excel)
- 3-5 years experience
- Supply Chain and Logistics sector (Air & Sea freight operations)
- 4PL / Control Tower Structure
- Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing
- Master Degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Economics, International Affairs or Equivalent
- Ability to travel (25%)
- Fluent English, French and a local language is a plus
ORGANIZATION / RELATIONSHIPS
- Position in a matrix organization with a direct reporting line to his Responsible (Regional Contract Manager), functional reporting to the 4PL Global Supply-Chain Engineer if applicable.
- 4PL Hub Operations Manager.
- Customer: transport manager and head-quarters according to the geographical scope (regional or global)
- 3PLs: both internal and competitors.
