Supply Chain Engineer (PRISM Supply Chain Asia Sdn Bhd)

What you will be doing:

Responsibilities:

• Review existing processes of an operation, in view of improving efficiency / productivity
• For each major recurrent process, analyses every step for relevance and room for improvement (time-motion studies): Process design and re-engineering (continuous improvement)
• Document and review existing processes, procedures & their applications
• Propose improved processes based on the above studies, with eventual use of additional tools

Warehouse Solution Design

• Support the development of new customers, either with existing client contact or by supporting the sales team for RFQ, site visit and presentation
• Analyze customer requirements and support Q&A sessions
• Design and propose warehousing solutions accordingly to customer needs:
• Assess Resources, MHE, investments, EDI, automation opportunities, etc.
• Provide costs analysis and rates
• Build RFP technical answer document to present the solution
• Present the technical solution during tender selection meeting

Project Management

• Manage the implementation of logistics project secured on various aspects:
• Organize business requirements workshop between Customers teams, Information System, Regional team and Operations / Key Users
• Analyze and summarize relevant data to support the workshop (decisions, follow up analysis)
• Define and implement the operational strategy (put away strategy, warehouse zoning, replenishment & picking strategy)
• Follow-up IT developments and WMS setup/configuration with the Information System team Project Manager
• Coordinate with purchasing for suppliers’ selections and site renovation/installation
• Follow-up on the management of project:
• Resources (both operational recruitment and resources allocated to the project)
• Costs and budget follow-up
• Schedule and on-time milestones / delivery
• Organize and report advancement with internal and external customers
• Finalize potential commercial issues on contract, quotations
• Handover to Operations

QHSE Compliance

• Development & training of your team in-conjunction with QHSE training program.
• Managing QSHE program for the logistics site including reporting / auditing and system compliance.
• Overseeing the warehouse and ensure that the company’s standards and procedures are being met and followed.
• Comply with all BL QHSE Integrated Management System policies and procedures.
• Support all company QHSE promotions and initiatives.
• Keep informed all QHSE information provided by the company in accordance with any legislation, code of practice and guidelines and liaise as necessary with the relevant government departments and private bodies.
• Immediately, in the event of an accident, dangerous occurrence, or a risk of imminent and serious injury or harm to the health of any person at the workplace, report the matter to your senior Manager or Supervisor.
• Report to your senior Manager or Supervisor any hazard or potential hazard to which any person is, or might be, exposed to at the workplace.
• Ensure all procedures and documentation are completed and implemented in accordance to ISO9001.
