Staff Software Engineer - Auth & Access Management

The Role
The Authentication & Access Management team handles all things authentication and authorization at Xendit. We ensure that our millions of customers can access Xendit’s applications safely and reliably while minimizing barriers to entry to the financial system. In addition to refining the core authentication customer experience, we support Xendit’s expansion into new use cases and markets with reliable, well-designed access control primitives that empower our product teams across the company.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain a secure Authentication & Access Management platform.
- Deliver features that are scalable, performant, well-tested, and well-documented.
- Perform peer reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Influence the design, planning, and implementation of the product roadmap.
- Collaborate with product and other engineering teams across the company to build new features at scale.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure our systems are up and running always.
- Advance engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Architect product infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- Do whatever it takes to make Xendit successful.
You may be a good fit if you have
- 7+ years of experience developing quality software products and shipping production-ready software.
- Built identity and access management systems previously supporting OAuth, OIDC, SSO, SAML, and MFA.
- Fluency in NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Expertise in Relational and NoSQL database schema design and query optimization.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, AWS technologies.
- Experience with unit, integration, and E2E test frameworks such as jest, mocha, and cucumber.
- Exposure to large-scale microservices architectural patterns, such as well-designed REST APIs, circuit breakers, high volume data pipelines.
- Communicate well across teams.
