About the Team

At Gojek, engineering is central to everything we do: bringing our ideas to life and into the lives of our users. As the Software Engineer for Merchant Lending, you’ll be building all our business lending products. Working at the cutting edge of Fintech in areas of responsibility spanning risk, compliance, user experience, growth, and revenue, you’ll aid the business (both within and outside the Gojek ecosystem) scale, meet stipulated business objectives, and contribute directly to Gojek’s profit stream. You’ll raise the bar for engineering excellence and set up practices to enable the next evolution of the products.

What You Will Do

Liaise with product managers to shape the business OKR roadmap; represent and be accountable for the technical output of the team and improve specific business KPIs
Own deliverables
Proactively lead stakeholder communication related to deliverables and risks; collaborate across front-end/back-end/QA teams and apps to ensure all teams are working towards a common goal
Help scale the organization, and attract and retain talent
Encourage teams to keep their documentations updated as the architecture evolves

What You Will Need

At least 3-5 years of experience in software development and delivery, with at least 3-5 years as a hands-on, technical individual contributor (Preferably related to financial products and lending)
Strong knowledge and experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and understanding of browser caching - Experience in writing modular/reusable code and using JS frameworks
Experience with frameworks like ReactJs, VueJs, Backbone.js, etc., especially about their internal working
Deep understanding of JavaScript patterns and the challenges involved with creating maintainable JavaScript applications
Experience with seamless integration of front-end to backend functionality and front-end tools for testing and automation, like Gulp, Mocha, Karma, Chai and selenium
Experience developing multi-channel, mobile-responsive and mobile-adaptive UI
Experience building large-scale high-performance systems and sites and have a good eye for subtle UI details
Excellent written & verbal communication skills focused on improving collaboration, knowledge, and information exchange across all stakeholders
