About the Role
Gojek is the on-demand services business of the GoTo group. GoTo is the fastest growing technology company in Indonesia and is preparing for its future compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act (“SOX”).
Gojek operates various platform-based on-demand services throughout South East Asia including GoRide, GoCar, GoFood, Gosend, etc.
This position represents an opportunity to be part of the Gojek finance team. You will work closely with the Gojek Head of SOX to ensure we meet all the group policy and US regulatory requirements for SOX Compliance.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to the development of the SOX scope and risk assessments with GoTo group SOX function to ensure it reflects the Gojek structure and business
- Serve as a business partner to key stakeholders and support the Gojek Head of SOX in regular engagement with management in key business processes and functions to proactively identify and mitigate financial reporting risks
- Assist with the coordination between IT GRC, GoTo group IT SOX, and business stakeholders with IPEs (information provided by the client), SOC (service organization controls), ITGC (IT General Controls) and ITAC (IT Application Controls)
- Develop, coordinate and maintain the SOX compliance process documentation (including but not limited to flowcharts, risks and control matrices, narratives, and standard operating procedures) and evaluate the effectiveness of the design of the internal controls over financial reporting
- Work and collaborate with GoTo SOX function, third party consultants and Internal Audit to evaluate the operating effectiveness of SOX internal controls
- Provide assistance in the analysis of SOX deficiencies of significance, including analysis of pervasiveness and financial magnitude, and drafting of related whitepapers.
- Support the Gojek Head of SOX in the evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of proposed risk mitigation program and control enhancements as well as any recommended changes to standard designed controls, processes or procedures in the Gojek Business
- Liaise directly with Gojek’s internal/external auditors to ensure their activities are efficient and effective and needs are met, while minimizing burden on Business stakeholders (e.g., business process walkthroughs, level of reliance on Gojek’s financial controls compliance program, etc.).
- Maintain strong relationships and interactions with the GoTo group SOX function, ERM, Internal Audit and IT GRC
- Develops and conducts regular SOX compliance training for Gojek employees
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting / Finance/ Business, or equivalent educational background
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Audit, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Compliance, and/or Internal Audit, (Preferably at least 3 years with a Big Four audit firm followed by finance, accounting, or audit management role in a company)
- SOX and IT exposure and experience a plus
- Considerable knowledge and a proven track record in applying internal controls and accounting principles and practices, specifically as it relates to SOX risk assessment, process documentation and flowcharting, control design assessment, test plan design, testing of operational effectiveness, and documenting of deficiencies
- Strong understanding of the internal controls framework (understand CoBIT and COSO)
- Good knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, specifically audit methodologies, risk assessment, sampling techniques, audit documentation, and report writing
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders across various levels of seniority.
- Strong project management skills to manage complex projects able to prioritize multiple internal and external stakeholders and able to drive consensus.
- Strong team player who possess team synergy skills with a high level of enthusiasm in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Able to work independently and high attention to detail with swift execution
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).

The SOX team is part of the Gojek Finance & Accounting Function, located in Jakarta, Indonesia. We aim to be the business partner for all the functional groups in the Gojek business. We support the product teams, and business and IT teams to identify risk areas, make valuable recommendations on controls, and influence changes and decisions. We continuously drive cross-functional initiatives to ensure compliance with SOX/ICFR and continually look to improve existing processes.
