About the Role
As a Software Engineer (Regional Payments) at Fazz Financial, you will play an integral role in fuelling Xfers' goal of being the Payments Infrastructure for Southeast Asia. You will be part of the Regional Payments team that is working to scale Xfers Accept and Send offerings to regional merchants by integrating new payment methods and controls that are compliant with the licenses that we have today. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging technical problems and be exposed to fault-tolerant systems.
This is a dynamic role and while the goals and metrics will be clear, achieving the goals will require skill, leadership and original thinking. The ideal candidate is a results-driven individual who can communicate well in a team and is open to giving and receiving feedback. This individual is a strategic and creative thinker with a high level of ownership, and self-motivation and must be able to work independently with little supervision.
Responsibilities
- Integrate new payment methods and work with different service providers in the region
- Manage, maintain and improve our high throughput transaction systems
- Build with observability in mind. Construct dashboards and visualize data collected from new features and how they are utilized
- Engineer abstractions that make building financial products easier for internal teams, external clients, and financial institutions.
Requirements
- Experience in Ruby on Rails or Python and similar web application frameworks
- Sharp, logical thinking with a penchant for
- Passionate in solving technical challenges, as this role is highly focused on building frameworks and engineering a reliable backend system
- Have a high growth trajectory and is keen on building a career in engineering
- High willingness to learn and to leave our codebase better than it was before
- Have the drive and tenacity in solving challenging problems
