Software Development Manager

We are looking for a Software Development Manager role who is passionate in education technology. Your goal is to supervise software engineers, managing the engineering performance and capacity, and managing the software development, deployments, and integrations.

• GitLab CI/CodeMagic for CI/CD
• Sonarcloud/CodeCov/GitLab for source code quality
• Kubernetes for API and internal services backend platform.
• Golang and Typescript for internal services.

Responsibilities

• Consulting with leadership and software development engineers to determine software solution requirements.
• Evaluating software solutions and system performance, as well as supervising the software development team.
• Demonstrating effective management for software engineers including goal settings, performance measuring, coaching, training, and hiring.
• Managing the development, deployment, and integration of software solutions.
• Resolving software deployment and integration errors, and documenting processes.
• Performing routine maintenance and monitoring performance metrics for our softwares.
• Keeping update with software technologies, as well as conforming to best practices in cybersecurity.

Qualifications we are looking for

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and team management.
• In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as Golang or Typescript.
• Ability to mentor software developers, as well as to collaborate with all stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
• Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
• Knowledge of best practices related to data governance and cybersecurity.
• Ability to keep up with software industry trends and innovation.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
