About the Role
Roll up your sleeves and climb on board if you’re ready to be our Senior Software Engineer (iOS). In this role, you will be an integral player in the GoPay tech team based in Jakarta, Indonesia. With knowledge of the general mobile landscape, current users trends and preferences, and emerging technologies within the mobile engineering field, you will work alongside the product management team and cross-functional teams (Product Engineer, DevOps, Data, UX, QA) to improve overall code structure, and develop clear and sustainable iOS software components, and develop robust, well-designed software systems. Most importantly, your efforts will directly ensure our users get quality care and a seamless experience with our products & services.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and improve our iOS mobile experience
- Enable and build personal, interconnected, geo-location-leveraging mobile products and experiences compatible with low bandwidth and often unreliable internet connections
- Improve code structure and architecture in service of testability and maintainability
- Build reusable iOS software components for interfacing with multiple application
- Formulate clear and efficient technical documentation
- Implement code that is clear, concise, performant, tested, and easily understood by others
- Automate repeated manual tasks to improve self/stream’s productivity
- Actively support your team in the tracking and reporting of execution metrics, both through automation as well as disciplined adherence to processes and best practices
What You Will Need
- At least 4 years of experience in iOS development and working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures and implementation (MVC, VIPER, MVVM), trends, and emerging technologies
- Prior experience in building Frameworks and SDKs
- Proficiency in Swift 4+, Xcode 10+
- Ability to write product specifications and actively participate in the planning phase; ability to write model code for functional and nonfunctional requirements, including improving the code quality standard across the team
- Working experience with popular third-party libraries for networking, async, image loading
- Familiarity with Instruments, LLDB, and other debugging tools
- Proficiency in Unit Testing and Test Driven Development
- Experience with CI/CD optimization

As Nasi Goreng is to the people of Indonesia, our Payments Engineering team is to Gojek: providing the nourishment to sustain our business from the inside out. We run and oversee one of Southeast Asia's largest merchant platforms, e-money wallet platforms, and Indonesia's leading digital payments provider. Some of the businesses we empower include Tokopedia, Google, Disney+, McDonald's, Blibli, Jd.id, and Kitabisa.
Our service is now accepted at over 300,000 online and offline merchants in Indonesia alone, with our ecosystem processing US$6.3 billion of annualized Gross Transaction Value in 2018.
