Senior Software Engineer, Backend

We are looking for backend engineers to design and build the systems that power our core business of lending and loan processing. As a backend engineer, you will build features that introduce or significantly expand capabilities for our business teams, opening the way to new markets, partners, and other opportunities. You will have the opportunity to take on a wide variety of tasks. While this role will primarily focus on backend, there will be exposure and growth opportunities for fullstack capacity as well.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop and maintain scalable and highly available systems to empower our fintech platform.
• Work with product managers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop solutions.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code using GoLang and Nodejs.
• Ensure the quality of the code by writing unit tests and integration tests.
• Be on rotational tech support, debug and resolve production issues, and take part in blameless postmortems.
• Plan and execute smooth migrations to new technology as a way of managing technical debt.
• Build tools and automation for our business and operations teams.

What you need to have

• At least 3 years of experience as a backend engineer.
• Proficiency in Golang or Nodejs.
• Solid experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and MySQL. NoSQL experience will be a plus.
• Experience in writing unit tests and integration tests.
• Familiar with microservices architecture and cloud services such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
