Reporting directly to the local Marketing Manager, the Senior SEO Specialist will become the local owner of multiple Ninja Van’s websites (ninjavan.co) and will be accountable for everything organic. As part of his/her responsibilities, the Senior SEO Specialist will be in charge of developing and implementing web, content-based strategies to promote the company’s brand in accordance with brand positioning, attract potential leads and generate organic results (conversions). Closely working with counterparts (from other countries in SEA as well as the Regional team, based in Singapore), the Senior SEO Specialist will become the only point of contact for every local website-related matters : websites structure, content (copywriting - English only), SEO, user requests (page creation, edit requests, etc.), bug escalation, request for new CMS features, content migration from external domains to ninjavan.co, local content copywriting, approving QAs, etc
Job Descriptions:
- Understand brief given by stakeholders, clearly identify purpose, audience and structure of the page. Work with stakeholders to ensure that. Target/Goals: Creating a page that is well structured and able to achieve the objective set of the landing page
- Research using tools eg. Google Keyword Planner etc. to identity the keywords that are suitable for the page and making sure that page created is well structured to maximise chances of organic results. Target/Goals: To have pages with high quality and good organic rankings
- Implement changes in multiple CMS eg. Shopify, Kontent etc. Ensure that information on the website is updated according to active promotions and campaigns planned. Develop and implement web, content-based strategies, ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice. Target/Goals: Timeliness of update
- Monitor and improve SEO results for the website, research and implement new SEO trends (modifying body copy, title, meta description) and proactively propose new features/improvements of existing features to better address user needs. Target/Goals: Site ranking and website user journey
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience with Content Management Systems
- Bachelor Degree in Digital Marketing, Business Management or equivalent
- Proven experience with web SEO-friendly copywriting (English, Malay appreciated but not mandatory)
- Understanding of technical/content SEO best practices and audit
- Basic proficiency with HTML, CSS and web design
- Ability to translate a user need into a technical requirement
- E-commerce experience appreciated
- English, Malay (appreciated but not mandatory)
