About the Role

Fasten your helmet and climb onboard as a Senior Researcher - Market Research Lead for the Driver Platform team. You will be our go-to expert in quantitative research methodology to ensure driver insights are at the heart of our products. You’ll take the wheel in providing key insights to aid the development and execution of product design and overall business strategy. The folks in the product, design, data, and business team will be your companions on this ride. Best yet, you’ll have the opportunity to flex your quantitative, qualitative, and analytical research skills, getting us even closer to build the best platform for our driver partners.

What You Will Do

  • Independently manage end-to-end research projects from scoping work, advising on suitable methodologies, designing and executing research plans, and producing high-quality research reports to the stakeholders.
  • Be in charge in guiding & supervising other researchers in quantitative methodology 
  • Use statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R or similar), Google workspace or Microsoft Excel to uncover and evaluate user behaviors 
  • Be the thought partner of the product, design, data, and service team in coming up with strategies to achieve the group’s objectives. Engage & influence key internal and external stakeholders to fine-tune methodology to deliver insights that would inspire and spark actions. 
  • Triangulate survey results with internal data, secondary research and collaborate with other researcher and data colleagues
  • Synthesize research findings into robust and actionable recommendations 
  • Actively participates in research processes improvements.  Investigate/raise when issues are discovered and proactively work with third party agency or internal team to find the root cause and resolve them

What You Will Need

  • At least 4-6 years of proven experience in planning and executing quantitative research (e.g: questionnaires building, sampling design, weighting methods, statistical analysis) and delivering recommendation to stakeholders/clients 
  • Ability to see patterns and behavior through numbers. You will be working closely with our data team, so you need to feel comfortable with number crunching. Have the ability to apply correct and intuitive visualization to ensure stakeholder’s understanding.
  • Have the ability to operate in a self-directed culture and work efficiently - balancing the flash-fast requirements and the rigor it takes to produce good insights
  • Passionate about solving problems and delivering insights to better understand our users.
  • Openness to learn from and share your skills with others in the organization
  • Comfortable in communicating and influencing different levels of stakeholders and users in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal)
  • Bonus points if you have experience with Conjoint analysis, Brand Health Tracking, Segmentation, Concept test, A/B testing
  • Having team leadership experience is also an advantage

Gojek Research & Insights team has 90+ researchers spread across multiple products and platforms. Our very own team consists of 6 researchers and growing. Working alongside Gojek's product and business vertical, we are committed to act as an extension of drivers’ voice and ensure that user insights are always at the heart of our product development and business decisions. As a multidisciplinary team, we are working to deliver insights and recommendations by ways of merging qualitative, quantitative, analytical, and business research, which will help Gojek deliver the best product for its users.
