Senior QA Engineer - Financial Services

About the Role
As part of Money Management POD focusing on Investment, you will play an important role in development of investment product and execution of business strategy. You will be working very closely with Business development manager, product manager and engineers to evaluate 3rd party vendors, available technology choices, conversion of product roadmap into engineering execution plan, selection of technology infrastructure, frameworks and libraries, architect and design technology solutions and work with engineers and quality assurance team for timely quality deliverables.
What You Will Do
- Improve the test automation experience at GoTo Financial by enhancing tools/scripts, test coverage, and/or code structure, and Automate repeated manual tasks to improve self/stream’s productivity
- Debug and analyze the bugs in the application, aiding developers in arriving at the root cause and training junior QAs to follow suit
- Manage timely testing and delivery of your own tasks (manual testing)
- Take responsibility for the entire life cycle of your stories: development, test, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements
- Write concise, comprehensive, detailed test plans, and review the test cases/ test plans written by junior engineers and peers
- Work closely with the Product team (i.e. PMs, Designers, Developers, and QA) right from the inception of features
- Understand business and product requirements as related to payments and the existing service architecture; gain a deeper understanding of the domain
What You Will Need
- At least 4 years of practical experience in Software Testing or relevant industry experience
- Deep knowledge in Manual, Automation test methodologies and principles
- Experience in working with Web, API, and mobile (optional) testing in both manual and automation
- Highly experienced with testing tools such as Jira, TestRail, Git, Appium, Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG
- Experience in working with the Java programming language
- Solid analytical problem-solving skills with deep knowledge in Agile process management methodologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab pipeline
- Understanding of core business logic, algorithms, and datasets, with the ability to perform low-level System and Data Analysis
- Experience working with Financial related fields is a plus
