Beam’s Corporate Affairs team help inform and educate communities, policy makers, partners and opinion leaders about the benefits of Beam’s services in their city, how our technology differentiates us and our unique value proposition to drive positive change.

Beam’s policy and public affairs team aims to educate national, regional, and local authorities and communities on the positive impact that we can have on cities and mobility. We are looking for a forward-thinking, creative individual who will be responsible for developing policy research to enhance Beam’s Government Relations programs and policy issues management in Indonesia, at the same time serving as an issues management, stakeholder management and mobilization subject matter expert in Indonesia.

S/He will be based in a City in Indonesia, with requirements to travel within Indonesia frequently. S/He will report to the Head of Public Affairs in Indonesia and work cross-functionally to conceive and roll-out events and programs that drive policy and business end-goals.

• Localise and implement Beam’s Public Affairs and Government Relations strategy in Indonesia
• Work closely with local councils and other stakeholders to support policy reviews and permit approvals

• Plan, schedule and execute engagements with local officials in Indonesia Malaysia cities
• Continuously monitor changes in the policy landscape and evaluate their potential impact on Beam operations.

• Assist the Head of Public Affairs Indonesia to manage day-to-day outreach and communications with local councils
• Collaborate cross functionally (Operations, Strategy, Policy/PR) to ensure smooth business operations

• Excellent communication skills (spoken and written), including the ability to convey complex technical concepts both orally and in writing in a clear, concise manner.
• Ability to organize, plan and implement work assignments, manage competing demands and work under the pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to cold call a new stakeholder and overcome skepticism on micromobility.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
• 5 - 7 years of experience with government agencies or government relations/ public affairs roles from the private sector.
• Interest in transportation, urban planning, sustainable mobility and smart city policies.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia with proven writing skills
