As a Product Designer at Xendit

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product teams to design customer-facing applications and experiences on desktop and mobile web 
  • Lead user research, design sprints, usability testing, and customer journey workshops to help product teams do customer discovery and manage a tight feedback loop with their users and customers
  • Create wireframes, mockups, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes of your design solutions
  • Work closely with engineers, PMs, and business stakeholders to drive the end-to-end design process in your initiatives
  • Analyze qualitative (user feedback, CS tickets) and quantitative data (feature usage, user behavior) to help inform the broader product roadmap
  • Help our product teams capture and share their learnings across teams to continually refine and iterate our features
  • Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed

You may be a good fit if you

  • Have at 3-6 years of experience in a product design role including designing for web and mobile applications (or any relevant experience).
  • Have the ability to work in a collaborative and fast-changing environment, in a team and individually.
  • Possess a good understanding of the design thinking process and are able to use frameworks to diverge and converge to a good design solution
  • Focus on not just understanding your customer, but also have strong commercial awareness of how your designs impact business outcomes as much as they impact the customer experience
  • Make the best of tools accessible to you (customer journey map, empathy map, data, user interviews) and work well with limited resources to still be able to derive deep customer insights that inform your design solutions
  • Are proficient in using any of the following: Sketch/ XD/ Figma (But we use Figma)
  • Understand the importance of research and have the ability to conduct usability tests, user interviews, synthesize findings, and put together actionable output and suggestions for implementation
  • Have a good eye on colours, a basic understanding of colour psychology and interactions on emotions
  • Speed to good quality output: Able to put together low-fi sketches, mid-fidelity wireframes to high fidelity mockups for review, within a reasonable timeframe
  • Are a self-starter, thrive on autonomy and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself,  and execute well under pressure
  • Communicate well across teams

Bonus points if you have

  • Worked in the Financial Services sector or understand how payments work
  • A background or educational qualifications in Human-Centred Design / Interaction Design
  • Worked for a high growth start-up before
