As one of Ninja Van's new business units, the Ninjamart business is a ‘startup within a startup’. Focused on disrupting the FMCG distribution business with logistics assets across the region. As our business scales to meet customer demand, the goal is to enable our business model to grow speedily and sustainably.

The Senior Commercial Partnerships will focus on strategy for partnership growth and acquisitions of new business. As well as analyze our customer strategy, building frameworks and methodology to enable the business to improve its acquisition performance and product fit to the market. This is a key role that will have an impact in supporting the growth of a regional scale-up. The ideal candidate will be able to build analytical models and travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a key member of the commercial strategy & part of the leadership team.
  • Stakeholder for business revenue acquisitions and growth, through relationships with Key Principles in order to develop FMCG partnerships in Malaysia.
  • Inspire the team to deliver great client propositions executed to the highest possible professional standards and set a clear expectations.
  • Building a pricing model for different customer tiers to increase margins, Leading the sales / account management functions and driving a high-performance culture.
  • Control, reporting and proposal of cost saving initiatives to streamline the business and create efficiencies to drive operating margin growth.
  • Coordination of all commercial finance queries from Regional FP&A.
  • Lead the provision of financial and commercial information for the business and ensuring that information is being presented in an objective and transparent manner.
  • Creating and owning clear strategic plans for our accounts to ensure long-term profitability and growth is maximized, delivering to company goals and targets to improve customer spend and order frequency
  • Spearheading sales ops activities such as CRM, customer retention. Providing weekly/monthly updates on CRM initiatives, establishing an ongoing data-driven feedback loop so that we can keep improving our CRM efforts.

  • Analytical - the candidate will be able to create models and frameworks to implement within sales and supply teams.

  • Comfortable with uncertainty - the role will evolve according to business need.

Requirement

  • At least 8 years of experience in FMCG industry.
  • Must be willing to work independently on the ground and ‘get their hands dirty’.
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any field
  • Preferred experience in: Consulting, Business Development, FMCG, Brand Partnerships.
  • Brand acquisitions and partnerships.
  • Business planning in partnerships and FMCG.
  • Coordinating with all Internal Stakeholders to work out contractual terms.
  • Setup Account Management .
  • The candidate will be based in Selangor but should be comfortable working remotely across Malaysia.
  • The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking both English & Bahasa.
  • Possess own transport.
