Our Senior Carrier Partnerships Manager role is a critical position supporting the development of Telesign’s APAC Messaging Operations presence. This person will help refine Telesign’s overall vendor partnership strategy in APAC and build key relationships with identified partners that include negotiating, executing, and managing the partner relationships.

This role will collaborate cross-functionally across the organization, supporting product, engineering, marketing, sales, finance, and legal teams as we evaluate, explore, and execute strategic partnership opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand the interconnected messaging landscape across APAC, identify strategic opportunities and threats and take active part is setting the region sourcing strategy
  • Supplier on-boarding pipeline development and maintenance. Identifies, negotiates and connects new suppliers in order to reduce cost of termination and improves company competitiveness.
  • Use a systematic approach to establish high profile relationships with strategic partners (operator groups, regional and local suppliers.), including understanding their strategy, key decision makers, organizational structure, technology solutions, and roadmaps
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving competitive cost structure for assigned region and/or portfolio of supplier accounts
  • Acts as escalation point for all important issues with appropriate contact our vendor’s side, in both directions.
  • Keeping up with all particularities for commercial, regulatory, and other relevant changes in the industry and market. Communicates with appropriate internal stakeholders in timely manner for appropriate attention and actions.
  • Work with Pricing, Finance, Customer Support, Network Ops and other teams on day-to-day basis where collaboration is required for handling of operational tasks and challenges
  • Active engagement on improvement and maintenance of Routing related processes, procedures, policies and tools.
  • Closely collaborates with Legal team while working on agreements with new suppliers and addendums with existing ones.
  • Attends industry events to maintain relationship with existing suppliers, to discover new ones. Represents TeleSign professionally.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience working in the messaging industry
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills and comfort with ambiguity
  • Extensive industry experience, deep relationships, and the ability to navigate the complex A2P messaging landscape with a focus on APAC
  • Comfortable with high-stakes negotiations and describing the methodology and outcomes to executives
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with an ability to be understood effectively by business leaders, executives, product managers, and engineers
