We are looking for a highly self-motivated Senior Accountant who will be responsible for Indonesia accounting and finance activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards, statutory requirements, and company policies and procedures. This role will be a key member of the APAC Hub team, and is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

What You'll Do

Partner with various functional teams in decision and operational support for business growth in Indonesia
Provide local expertise and advisory to global Spotify functions (Tax, Legal, Treasury, Accounting) and APAC Accounting Hub teams for operational, statutory and compliance matters
Lead and drive Indonesia compliance with company policies & policies, financial controls and statutory requirements
Collaborate with APAC Accounting Hub to ensure timely and accurate submission of deliverables for financial close and reporting to global accounting / finance teams
Liaise or assist in regulatory requirements/reporting and government submittals for Indonesia with auditors, bankers, tax agents and relevant government agencies
Implement processes or best practices to simplify, standardize and scale the business and accounting organization
Validate and analyze financial statements, perform variance analysis and follow up on key issues identified
Review and recommend improvements to finance policies, internal controls, systems and processes
Participate in night calls (expected at not more than 20%) of total work time depending on global/regional projects & regular syncs, with flexible work arrangements; minimum travel expected (less than 2 trips a year expected)
Mentor, teach and review work of other supporting members of the accounting team as needed
Other responsibilities include but not limited to participate or lead in special projects, ERP implementation, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assigned (such as projects to optimize reporting platforms and processes)

Who You Are

Minimum of 3-5 years related accounting operations experience with global company (preferably technology or related industry)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related finance field degree
Prior Big 4 experience or CPA or MBA or Master Degree equivalent preferred
Knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP; SOX or other local compliance equivalent
Technically proficient with web applications and MS Office (strong Excel skills)
Strong analytical and communication skills across all levels
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, oral and written
Possess excellent analytical and communication skills across all levels
Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
