Second Engineer (BOAT) - AYANA Komodo

AYANA Hospitality is looking for a skilled Second Engineer (BOAT) to join our team at AYANA Komodo, a luxurious hospitality establishment located in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia. As the Second Engineer (BOAT) you will be responsible for the smooth operation of all technical aspects of the boats, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high standards of maintenance. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and expansion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of the boats.
• Operate and maintain the vessel, its engines, heating systems, pumps, and all other mechanical systems.
• Attend to breakdowns, identify causes, and repair defects within designated timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Develop and maintain the inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, and maintain adequate stock levels.
• Keep records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections carried out.
• Provide training and support to the boat crew on technical aspects of operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Thorough knowledge of marine engineering, machinery, and electrical systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to communicate and work effectively with team members.
• Certification and experience with safety equipment and systems.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a marine environment for extended periods.
