Sea Freight Manager

 

We have enjoyed another very successful year here at cargo-partner and our ambitious expansion plans are in full flow after recently opening new offices in Spain, Mexico, and India and with new offices set to open later this year across Europe, the US, and Asia adding to our 4000+ workforce in 160 offices across 40 countries. We are growing our operation in Indonesia and we are looking for a Sea Freight Manager that has extensive ocean product experience. 

 

 

·        Take over product P&L responsibility along with creating a national product strategy plan (aligned with regional & corporate plans)

·        Lead a team of ocean freight executives

·        Product set-up and responsibility for execution of SOP's

·        Leading procurement and pricing ensuring buying rates are competitive in the market

·        Coordinating with Branch Managers and Operations team to ensure timely delivery & superior services to customers

·        Collaborating with Trade Lane Managers & Sales team to support customer development and retention management including own sales activities followed by implementation of new or existing customers

·        Measuring and benchmark key performance indicators, such as productivity & profitability

·        Monitoring bookings and develop core carrier relationships

·        International tender support

 

 

·        Proven LCL/FCL experience

·        Management experience leading an ocean freight department

·        Someone who can further build, rather than just control existing product

·        High competency in handling Sea cargo shipments

·        Fluent in English, both written and verbal

·        Demonstrative problem solving skills

·        A passion for transport and logistics

·        Ideally educated to degree level
