Description of the role:
You will be the focal point of contact for key customer relationships and will be responsible for developing and implementing appropriate strategies and action plans to grow market share, sales and profitability in line with company objectives. This position reports to the WAHL Country Lead for Indonesia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Route To Market Implementation
- Develop an understanding of the Indonesia landscape for Wahl and formulate the route to market to deliver brand objectives.
- To identify opportunities for brand and discuss/negotiate with existing distribution partners or connect with new partners to maximize sales opportunities.
- In charge of designing and operating of full end-user experience, from point of sales/distribution to in-store merchandising to post sales customer experience.
- Responsible for the management of trade spend to deliver annual budget
Distributor(s) Management
- Working closely with distribution partners to ensure best coverage of brand across different regions of Indonesia, as well as across different sales channels
- Implement and execute strategic sales plans, operational processes and programs with distributor(s) to achieve assigned sales targets supported by a market insights and analysis
- Improve distributors’ sales force competency through regular and structured training, coaching and field work.
- Ensure annual sales objectives are translated to distributor’s/salesperson’s KPIs by month, eg. sales, distribution, assortment, and call rate.
- Implement sales operations processes for channel partners for key performance metrics and provide guidance to partners’ teams on execution to achieve sales targets.
- Developing key performance metrics report and conducting regular business reviews with distribution partners to identify opportunities and / or adjust sales plans where necessary.
- Regular visits to different parts of Indonesia to meet distribution partners and to forge closer working relationship and develop deeper understanding of the market.
Service Centre Management
- Managing and ensuring best in class post sales customer service experience by developing and implementing post sales processes.
- Work with service center partners to address consumers’ needs and ensure smooth operations of service centers
- Management of costing and quality issues with service partners
Working with WAHL Regional Team
- To be Wahl’s internal voice of Indonesia, sharing understanding of Indonesia market and championing the business needs of Indonesia to develop sales objectives
- Continuously monitor competitor activities, and evaluate developments in close interaction with the Wahl Marketing team.
- Partner closely with WAHL Education team to execute seminars and education events in Indonesia to further brand’s objectives.
- Manage all territory related operational issues including quality follow-ups and resolutions, timely shipments, and credit management to ensure smooth business operations.
- Degree holder with a minimum 5-8 years of experience in sales and distribution of consumer goods products with direct distribution system and multi-layer distribution (distributors, wholesalers, retailers).
- Experience in FMCG, Key Account Management, Distributor Management and Territory Management/Traditional Trade sales operations is highly valued, experience in handling GT, B2B, and salon background will be preferable.
- Has a track record of success in strategic planning and effective channel sales management.
- Strategic approach with focus on swift implementation.
- Critical and analytical thinking to see opportunities and risks.
- Open communication and international collaboration.
- Excellent time management, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Speaking proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is a must
