Risk Manager - Merchant Payments

We are looking for an exceptional risk manager under Merchant Payments Risk to identify potential fraud risk, develop mitigating strategies in our expanding business. The role holder will be responsible for delivering on target risk metrics - by analyzing data and implementing risk rules and recommending mitigation plans.
What You Will Do
- Support merchant payments risk at the risk strategic level throughout the merchant lifecycle from pre to post onboarding stages.
- Closely monitor the risk metrics, underlying drivers, the overall business metrics and achieving the metrices.
- Establish and/or optimize the risk detection capabilities through data extraction and analysis.
- Conduct deep dives and analysis on risk related issues.
- Identify potential trends and threats and establish mitigation strategies.
- Identify and drive improvements on internal business processes or platforms, while balancing risk, business requirements and customer experience.
- Work closely with stakeholders and partners to achieve the metrices and/or resolve risk related issues.
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of related payment risk experience, preferably on merchant payment risk.
- Experience with data extraction and analysis as well as using a fraud detection system or equivalent to mitigate risks.
- Experience in leading investigations and performing root cause analysis for risk related issues.
- Able to assess issues and recommend solutions both at the strategic and tactical levels - balancing the business vision and practical implementation considerations.
- Intermediate proficiency in using GSuite and other data skills (SQL, BigQuery etc).
- Proactively builds trust-based relationships with stakeholders while maintaining the ability to remain objective
- Strong understanding of risk solutions, product implementation - on the business side
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbal and written
The team consists of multinational and multi-background individuals, working together to anticipate and predict potential threats to our platform, design and build tools to fight against and mitigate these threats, and implement and enforce these systems at scale. We partner closely with several cross-functional teams to ensure safe and secure transactions for our merchants and our extended ecosystem.
