Public Relation Officer | AYANA Midplaza, JAKARTA

AYANA Hospitality is a renowned luxury hospitality brand that is seeking a Public Relation Officer for their flagship property, AYANA Midplaza in Jakarta. This position will be responsible for driving brand awareness and optimizing positive media coverage. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and a proven track record of delivering impactful public relations strategies.

As the Public Relation Officer, you will work closely with the Marketing team to craft news releases, coordinate press conferences, and develop social media campaigns. You will also be responsible for building relationships with key media contacts, identifying new opportunities for coverage, and keeping up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic public relations campaigns
• Maintain positive relationships with media outlets and journalists
• Create press releases, fact sheets, and other materials for media distribution
• Organize and execute press conferences, media familiarization trips, and other special events
• Monitor media mentions and coverage and provide regular reports to the management team
• Provide guidance to management on handling media inquiries and crisis communications
• Oversee the hotel's social media channels and develop engaging content to support PR initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or other related fields
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a PR role, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet media deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills to build relationships with media contacts and hotel stakeholders
• Experience in crisis communications is an advantage
