Project Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Project manage one or more cross functional teams that has a set of projects to deliver
• Manage project delivery from idea conception through analysis, development, testing and deployment:
• Track project delivery and definition of done to achieve project closure in the most efficient way possible
• Rigorously managing scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost and quality parameters
• Report on project progress in different forums
• Ensure all project stakeholders are kept informed
• Produce status reports to senior management
• Work with the Solution Architect for each project and other areas of the business (developers, design, QA, BA, production support) to create project specifications
• Determine and manage project budget, resources, requirements, timelines, dependencies, risks and issues
• Escalate issues when required
• Hold and drive project meetings with relevant stakeholders from other areas of the business e.g. design meetings, stand ups, internal & external demos, retrospectives etc.
• Write project and feature documentation to a high standard, gathering input from others in the team as needed
• Work with the delivery team to manage cross project dependencies and resourcing
• Build a good understanding of the Platform to be able to contribute to project design and implementation strategy

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience working in a Project Management role in a fin-tech, tech company, bank, or consultancy 
• Good understanding of technical and business concepts involved in running regulated platforms in the cloud?
• Able to confidently and independently drive project delivery to completion
• Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organisational skills
• Able to work well under pressure
• Able to manage conflicting priorities and have difficult conversations with stakeholders where required
• Able to use initiative to overcome obstacles
• Able to maintain a high level view of both technical and functional projects
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills - with the ability to quickly digest complex information
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a variety of audiences (developers, non-technical, clients, senior stakeholders)
• Experience using JIRA (and the wider Atlassian suite)
• Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies including the ability to write user stories

• An understanding of common cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP etc
• Confidence in using SQL/JQL
• Lightweight / hobbyist coding experience (python, javascript) is a real bonus
