We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to build out one of the product areas of Horangi’s Warden Cloud Security platform and we want you to join our Tiger team!

You have an eye for detail, you know how to prototype and you can work with a team to support and direct a user-centered design process towards innovative solutions to real user problems. You also know how it feels to fall in love with problems, rather than any particular solution, so you are able to pivot your focus and priorities without losing stride.

As a UI/UX Designer at Horangi, you will need to operate as if you and your teammates are always approaching uncharted territory and you are the pathfinder. You will work closely with the product managers, engineers and customer facing teams in Horangi. You will ground your design thinking in user research and testing, easily transition between divergent and convergent thinking and activities, rapidly prototype, and share your thinking in a team setting. Overall, you will combine business capabilities and tech challenges with opportunities to improve user experiences by continually pushing and advocating for better and new products through iterative improvements.

Your Responsibilities

Work closely with the product managers, engineers and business stakeholders to design great product experiences for our customers.
Knowledge of design disciplines such as UX research methods, user-centered design and usability testing.
Translate user insights and various design challenges into concepts, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interfaces and visual designs.
Support end to end process from research to design to launch, provide design guides and work closely with software engineers on design handoff and to ensure that designs are properly implemented.
Ability to render design intent at various resolutions across a range of tools.
Ability to rapidly prototype and define the dependencies and requirements created by your design decisions.
Ability to identify new areas of opportunities through market research and user feedback.

What We're Looking For

At least 2 years experience in software product design fields or related.
A strong portfolio which demonstrates a range of tools and applied techniques towards finding problems and delivering design solutions.
Strong knowledge of design principles and techniques. Experienced in UX and Interaction Design
Strong written and verbal communication skills (the ability to effectively sell an idea). Strong conceptualisation, drawing and sketching skills.
Quick learner with a strong drive to investigate and willingness to learn as you go. Open to feedback and keen to take on new challenges.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask.
Ability to translate high-level concepts into quality visual styles and directions with clear systems thinking.
Ability to manage time wisely across projects and competing priorities, meet agreed upon deadlines, and be accountable for work.
Knowledge of cyber security or cloud infrastructure (ie AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Miro is a plus.
