About the Role
Take on specific challenges a Gojek business like Transport, Food or Logistics has, conduct a thorough analysis, and make recommendations. This is a high-ownership role where you are also expected to drive these recommendations to get it done. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving strategic problems, building consensus among different groups, and is comfortable with data analysis.
What You Will Do
- Be the expert on our customers - Participate in key cadence meetings of our customers so you’re one of the first to understand any challenges they’re facing and help
- Run a hypothesis-driven analysis to solve important challenges for our customers. This may involve a 1-1 interview, data analysis, and getting consensus from product teams before you present your recommendations
- Execute your recommendations till you get a successful outcome. This may involve running experiments and working with businesses to make course corrections till we get to our objective
- Work with product managers who will look to you to help with product feature rollouts to our customers
- Be a consultant for our customers by helping them map their needs to Marketplace product features that can help
- Document and train business stakeholders on how to apply product configurations
- Run a regular office hour cadence with the Product Ops team to keep relevant business stakeholders informed about product development progress and important changes that may affect them
- Work with product managers to aid feature prioritization and impact analysis
What You Will Need
- Strong business acumen, with experience working with diverse stakeholders
- You live by “less is more”. Working on everything isn’t an option, knowing which initiatives to prioritize is key to progress
- You’re a great communicator, you can explain complex concepts like how products work to different audiences in varying detail
- You are comfortable with complex SQL queries. Knowledge of Python, and Pandas is a strong plus
- A "get things done" mindset; break down large projects into smaller milestones to increase the probability of success
- Team player - we’re a close-knit team that learns from each other constantly. We’re not big on folks who like to go solo.
- [Bonus] Prior experience in fulfillment in similar industries like ride-hailing, food delivery, or logistics is a plus.
About the Team
The marketplace is the fulfillment engine for all of Gojek’s major businesses. Whether a customer is ordering food, transport, or wants to send a package - we ultimately handle that order and get it to the customer. It’s a great place to understand how all of Gojek’s business groups function due to this broad impact. As part of Product Ops, you will work directly with Gojek’s business groups to learn their challenges and advise them on how to get the most from the Marketplace platform. You will deal with complex open-ended questions like improving efficiency, driver experience, and so on. This is a business-focused role where the work you do can be directly attributed to revenue growth and cost efficiency for the company.
At Marketplace, we’re proud to be the first Product Ops team in Gojek! Product Ops supports all Gojek product development groups (Food, Logistics, and Transport) to get the most out of Mobility Marketplace products. The Marketplace team is a family of more than 120 people consisting of more than 14 different nationalities composed of business, engineers, and product managers, based across Jakarta, Bangalore, and Singapore.
