Executive Summary

Kargo is on a journey to reimagine logistics with technology. We are looking for a technical Product Manager (Product Manager for Profile & Integration) to help build, manage, and maintain our shared services, which may include data, profiles, integrations and AR/AP functions. This is a cross functional role, where you will be working closely with, but not limited to, the Engineering team, QA, Product Design, and counterparts / stakeholders from multiple lines of business. You will bridge the gap between technology and business.


Note: As you proceed for the role selection, your final title and designation (i.e. the seniority level) will be determined after you complete all interview rounds

About Kargo Product Team

Kargo Product Team consists of Product Management and Product Design functions. Our main job is to build products and services to achieve Kargo’s mission, and deliver best-in-class experience for our users: shippers (small businesses, enterprise businesses, freight forwarders), transporters (truck owner operators & their drivers) and internal team (our operations, customer success, finance, and sales team).


We operate a combination of human-centered design & design thinking approach in building solutions for our customers, and promote co-creation alongside our engineers and business team. We work in a dedicated team model where each squad has a designated mission and specific outcomes to achieve (we use OKR throughout the organization). Each Product Manager and Product Designer are ideally assigned with a few Product Engineers and QA Engineers to work together.


About The Role

As the PM of Profile & Integration, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end product discovery and delivery process for Kargo’s shared services, which cover one or more of the following areas: profile, integration and finance-related functions. The role requires strong technical and collaboration skills as you will be working with cross-functional teams within Kargo, and potentially with external vendors.


One of the main goals of this role is to build seamless integration of customer profiles within Kargo’s range of services, among others, Nexus for Shippers, Nexus for Transporters, Brokerage TMS and Last-Mile TMS. With this seamless integration and customer experience, it will respectively improve various operation and finance processes, and ultimately support the company’s financial position.


You will be working cross-squads and cross-tribes, as your products will have touchpoints on different aspects of the business, and you will also be continuously exploring problem-solution fit in various spaces.


The span of work covers the following but not limited to: development and execution of product roadmap that directly resolve high priority business problems through collaboration with business stakeholders, including finance, operations, sales, marketing and legal. The role will also require sourcing and managing third party solutions whenever needed.


Responsibilities

  • Drive end to end product development from ideation, requirement, development, testing, launch, post go live improvement.
  • Create Product Requirement Document (PRD) that explains why we build the product, deep dive user pain points and how the product will bring impact to the users.
  • Align Product Roadmap with Product Vision and Strategy
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirement
  • Implement data-driven product development starting from estimating the impact, define success metrics, measure success of product and drive how product can achieve the OKR.
  • Monitor product development progress to ensure product launch on time.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of product management experience
  • Experience in developing and managing shared services or platform products
  • Understanding of intermediate product management skills and continually implementing industry best practices
  • Problem solver with clear structure and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skill, both verbally and in writing
  • Proactive to make things happen and critical in ensuring progress

Bonus Points

  • Experience leading team is a plus
  • Experience in logistic startup industry is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain or other related fields
  • Background in Finance and Accounting is a plus point if assigned to manage payments and/or finance products
  • Masters degree from reputable local or overseas institutions
