The Role

You will be hired as part of the Design team, but work closely with the Security team. As part of the Design team, enjoy a supportive and tight-knit design community of designers based all across SEA, with an open and curiosity-driven design culture that encourages feedback and growing professionally together.

Product team

ISS team focuses on building a scalable infrastructure and security system to secure our product development and customer experience. Aside from developing engineering infrastructure, the team is also responsible for designing security tools and mechanisms to protect customers’ data and accounts.

We are currently looking for a mid - senior designer who is keen on tackling complex technical challenges that require cross-functional collaboration and systemic thinking. This will be an exciting opportunity for those of you who want to create a big impact by redesigning a holistic, end-to-end security experience that will impact our customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

These are some of the activities that you will be involved / assisting in:

Conducting stakeholder interviews and customer research to identify the root cause of problems and other areas for improvement
Mapping user and product journeys to create an integrated security solution
Experiment with communication strategies to improve customer education on security
Collaborate with PMs, designers and other stakeholders to increase the adoption of our security measures
Contribute ideas to our product strategies and user research
Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed

You may be a good fit if you

Have 2-3 years of experience in a product design role including designing for web and mobile applications (or any relevant experience).
Are proficient in using any of the following: Sketch/ XD/ Figma
Can switch between working independently and being a team player
Design with critical thinking: Create solutions with a hypothesis-driven problem solving mindset that seeks to validate desirability, usability, and other assumptions by conducting research / testing
Have the ability to conduct user/stakeholder interview, usability tests, synthesize findings, and put together actionable output and suggestions for implementation
Have deep interest in technical products and service design
Have prior experience or an interest in facilitating workshops and cross-functional brainstorming sessions
Are highly adaptable and able to deal with ambiguities and an unstructured work environment - we are growing fast, breaking things and constantly iterating
Thrive on autonomy and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself without requiring hands-on guidance, detailed reqs and instructions
Speed to good quality output: Able to put together low-fi sketches, mid-fidelity wireframes to high fidelity mockups for review, within a reasonable timeframe
Communicate well across teams

Bonus points if you have

Worked in the Financial Services sector or understand how payments work
A background or educational qualifications in Human-Centred Design
Worked for a high growth start-up before
