About the role and team
FFG legal team is a highly collaborative group of 12 lawyers across Indonesia and Singapore. Our role is to support the team’s efforts to scale business operations whilst managing legal risks appropriately. We works with the business, product, and various functional teams across the organization and act as a strategic partner on legal matters regarding fintech products (e.g., P2P lending, e-money, fund transfer and cryptoasset) and e-commerce/marketplace products, strategic deals and partnerships, data protection & privacy, intellectual property, M&A and fundraising, among other domains. We were nominated as one of the finalists of In-House Team of the Year for the 2021 Asian Legal Business Indonesia in Financial Services category. What drives us is our shared goal to provide the best deliverables to our internal clients and keep pushing our collective bar higher.
What you may be doing
- Provide legal services, including advisory, agreement drafting, agreement reviewing, legal analysis and product exploration and risk identification
- Maintain close stakeholder management and also people management of the team members
- Provide versatile advices and take into accounts various perspectives, which could be from a our business perspective, merchant perspective and/or a customer perspective
- Collaborate with external counsel, where considered necessary
What we are looking for in you
- Bachelor of Law degree
- Have an interest or experience in law and technology
- At least 6 years of experience in the field of law, preferably a mix of law firm (at least 4 years) and in house experiences (having experience in e-commerce or marketplace business is a plus point)
- Advance level of spoken and written English proficiency
- Team player and ambitious
- Highly responsible, motivated, independent, and passionate about the law
- Possesses ability to adapt and have strong willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Have excellent communication skill and social competence skill
- Domiciled in Greater Jakarta Area
Nice to haves
- Familiar with the fintech regulations esp. P2P, Fund Transfer, E-Money
- Having experience liaising with regulators (esp. BI and OJK)
