About the Role
You will play an essential role in developing products and executing business strategies. You will be working very closely with the business development manager, product manager, and engineers to evaluate 3rd party vendors, available technology choices, conversion of product roadmap into engineering execution plan, selection of technology infrastructure, frameworks and libraries, architect and design technology solutions and work with engineers and quality assurance team for timely quality deliverables.
What You Will Do
- Conduct challenging tech-engineering duties for all teams in a specific tribe
- Design, implement, and test complex, multi-tier distributed software application frameworks for large-scale, realtime investment platform
- Create designs to improve the security, efficiency, availability, scalability, flexibility, functionality, and usability of our systems and components.
- Within the tribe/department establish benchmarks, standards, techniques, and other mechanisms for defining, measuring, and optimizing non-functional requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert
- Create exemplars, frameworks, standards, guidebooks, or other tooling that enhances the ability of all members of a team, organization, or domain to work consistently.
- Select, design, and/or remediate technology platforms to be resilient to changes in business rules, utilization loads, and/or technology environments, while maintaining short-term focus and delivering concrete business results.
- Project planning and estimating effort for the different phasesOperationalize platform for immediate detection of production issues and ability to find and help fix performance, scalability, and other live issues in a very time-critical environment.
What You Will Need
- A Bachelor’s / Masters's or an equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 2 years of hands-on working experience in design, architecture, investment protocols, and funds
- At least 10 years of total working experience, experience working with fintech / financial service companies is a plus
- Should have a deep understanding of Financial technology, practical design, and implementation aspects of building secure features.
- Having knowledge of order book management, market making, and investment management processes, infrastructure and technologies is a strong plus
- Strong project execution skills to manage complex projects; also can manage and prioritize multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Hands-on programming skills and the ability to translate ideas into quality implementation are a must
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and data analytics ability

As Nasi Goreng is to the people of Indonesia, our Payments Engineering team is to Gojek: providing the nourishment to sustain our business from the inside out. We run and oversee one of Southeast Asia's largest merchant platforms, e-money wallet platforms, and Indonesia's leading digital payments provider. Some of the businesses we empower include Tokopedia, Google, Disney+, McDonald's, Blibli, Jd.id, and Kitabisa.
Our service is now accepted at over 300,000 online and offline merchants in Indonesia alone, with our ecosystem processing US$6.3 billion of annualized Gross Transaction Value in 2018. But, the growth of Payments does not stop here. We are hungry for more.
