OVO is looking for an passionate and talented talent to start their adventure with us as Principal Software Engineer.

You Will

Design and write with the cutting edge GO language to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of OVO's range of services.
Work with the engineering team to explore and create new design / architectures geared towards scale and performance.
Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
Engage in service capacity and demand planning, software performance analysis, tuning and optimization.
Work closely with the infrastructure team in building and scaling back-end servicesLead org wide root cause analysis investigations.
Driven to provide the best experience to OVO’s customers.
Collaborate with product and experience teams to define and prototype feature specification.

What You Need

University degree in the field of computer science, electrical engineering or mathematics is generally expected but is not necessary.
Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, typical candidates have experience of around 8+ years. Background in the financial services / banking industry or exposure to fintech would be a plus.
You should have vast experience in at least one programming language but should be willing to work in Golang and Java.
Familiarity with OWASP security principles.
Track record of designing, developing and implementing large scale highly available online services. Working knowledge of advanced design patterns.
Possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills, able to think critically of the current system in terms of growth and stability.
Team player with a collaborative work ethic.
Proven background of mentoring individuals & teams and raising the competence level of people around you.
