Hijra Engineering is the technology backbone of Hijra, the next-generation financial institution offering Sharia-compliant financial products to personal and business customers in Indonesia. Hijra’s financial services are purposefully ethical, inclusive, sustainable, and socially responsible.

We are looking for passionate software engineers with excellent computer science fundamentals to join our engineering team.

Responsibilities

Do the heavy-lifting of the most challenging engineering problems
Embrace and become the go-to expert in 3 (or more) specific domains and convey the expertise to the rest of the engineering team
Collaborate with the leadership team look for, plan, and execute long-term organizational-level improvements
Grow and mentor other software engineers, become a positive role model
Improve engineering processes (including but not limited standards, tooling,etc)

Requirements

Mastery of system design, software architecture, and engineering process
Excellent track records in innovation and problem solving
Strong understanding of Java, Kotlin, Go, JavaScript, or any modern technology stacks
Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and verbal communication
Ability to thrive in a fully remote & asynchronous organization
Willingness to understand, share, and live our values
