About the Role
As our Public Policy and Government Relations in Central Java, you will be in charge of engagement with regional government leadership in regional Central Java & Yogyakarta. While your primary function is to develop and forge relationships with governments in the region, you will also coordinate with other teams in Gojek internally to ensure smooth partnerships and collaborations with those governments. Additionally, you will also oversee project planning and implementations, ensuring all processes and endeavors align with the government and company’s requirements. Your efforts will ensure that Gojek maintains its commitment towards the government, driver-partners, SME merchants alike, and crisis handling.
What You Will Do
- Establish and maintain relationships with local governments in Central Java and Yogyakarta Region
- Initiate, execute and implement collaborative projects with Pemda in Central Java and Yogyakarta Province
- Provide regulatory analysis and deliver operational impact assessments
- Follow regulatory and political development and communicate with the team
- Regulatory advocacy and compliance as necessary
- Build comprehensive stakeholder mapping in Central Java and the Yogyakarta region
- Collaborate across internal teams to ensure smooth partnership and project execution
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Policy, or Regulatory Affairs areas
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with proven negotiation expertise
- Comfortable in doing policy and stakeholder research and analysis as well as experienced in and eager to develop and lead projects
- Good understanding of the policy-making process and regional political landscape
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment as part of a team
- Good fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia

Our Public Policy and Government Relations team consists of over 30 people, focusing in PPGR on different streams, such as Financial Services, Corporate Activity, Information and Communications technology, and others. Our main responsibility is to establish partnerships and develop solutions to opportunities, as well as regulatory challenges in domains that impact Gojek’s business.
