Port Captain (BOAT) - AYANA Komodo

AYANA Hospitality is seeking a Port Captain (BOAT) for our Komodo resort. As the Port Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, maintenance, and efficiency of our fleet of boats, while also ensuring guest satisfaction and experience. You will play a crucial role in maintaining communication with other departments and local authorities to ensure the resort's smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of all boats in the fleet.
• Manage and train a team of boat crew members, ensuring a professionalism, effectiveness, and safety in all their duties.
• Create and maintain a schedule for boat maintenance, ensuring all boats are in optimal condition for operation and safety standards.
• Ensure timely and effective communication with other departments to coordinate guest activities and events that involve our fleet of boats.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of all necessary boating equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Keep detailed logs of daily boat operations, including fuel consumption and expenses, and report findings to the management.
• Ensure all boats comply with national and local safety regulations, and supervise the implementation of any upgrades or modifications as necessary.

• A background in maritime operations, with a focus on safety, maintenance, and guest satisfaction.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operating and managing a fleet of boats.
• Familiarity with national and local safety regulations, including emergency procedures and protocol.
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all departments, guests, and local authorities.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in managing a team.
• A sound understanding of accounting and inventory management practices.
• Experience in dealing with various types of boats, engines, and onboard equipment, and the ability to diagnose and repair issues as required.
