About the Role
Partnership team is mandated to become a source of competitive advantage in creating a sustainable, strong, and long-term alliance with partners across non-financial sectors. Its main objective is to engage collaboration with new partners as well as maintaining relationships with existing partners, and continuously seek for business opportunities optimization to achieve mutual goals for both sides and improve business engagement ahead. This team will be the spearhead of the company, as a single point of contact to partners to smooth communication between parties. Partnership team is suitable for talents who have an interest in opening up connections, improving their ability to manage partnerships, sharpening business acumen and honing negotiating skills.
What You Will Do
- Acquire strategic partners, including prioritizing partners, strategic and product assessment, and negotiation.
- Maintaining relationships with existing partners and continuously seeking business opportunities optimization.
- Guide partners to achieve mutual goals and improve business engagement
- Monitor the overall engagement establishment and project, oversee the progress, and project timeline management
- Responsible for administrative duties along with legal team to draft and finalized legal engagement with partners and liaise with partners to settle commercial deal, based on guidelines from related business pod
- Be the first hand to handle issues related to the partnership and escalate the issue to the right parties (internal and external) to be solved
What You Will Need
- Fundamental Skills: Has experience understanding in banking and finance (or investment banking), and/or payment, and/or fintech
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Draws sound conclusions based upon a mixture of analysis and experience. Able to identify breakthrough solutions during tough negotiations or large-scale implementations with strategic partners.
- Communications Skills: Promotes an environment of open communication. Convinces and engages others by using compelling arguments. Able to rigorously manage a portfolio of projects with strategic partners, unblock issues & risks and manage expectations to ensure they are completed within target timelines and stakeholder expectations.
- Negotiation Skills: A fair, unbiased mediator and uses diplomacy and tact to diffuse tense situations comfortably
- Resiliency : Demonstrates resilience & composure, even in difficult or adverse circumstances. Makes and carries through unpopular or difficult decisions that are in the best interest of the team and/or Gopay. Is able to resist the pressure to make quick decisions where due consideration is required.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to develop strong, long lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Persuades and influences effectively by building support for ideas and initiatives through the effective presentation of facts and evidence. Identifies and anticipates that the partner and stakeholder needs to gain their commitment. Owns the end-to-end relationship with equivalent team and functional leads both internally and externally.
- Leadership: Organises teamwork to encourage cooperation and bring together complementary skills/expertise. Facilitates the discussion and resolution of conflicts or disagreement. Promotes a culture of learning and development, with a focus on continuous improvement.
About the Team
Partnership team is based in Jakarta - Indonesia, as this team will be covering domestic non-financial institutions partners. We are the single point of contact on behalf of Gopay, to partners, where we are also responsible to orchestrate various divisions including product, legal, compliance, finance, commercial and other specific roles related internally to handle projects with partners. In the long run, we are mandated to connect with new partners across sectors, including transportations; retail, commerce and lifestyle; food and groceries; telco; payment gateways and others.
